This week’s update is pretty brief and boring: Joe dis a lot of writing and is looking forward to ordering a new iPad. Also, weather occurred.

In Memory of Charles Edge
Author Charles Edge has died. Although it had been years since the last time he wrote for Take Control Books, we were proud to have him among our ranks, and we’ll all miss him.

We’ve Relocated Our Servers
The Take Control Books website may not look any different, but it’s now running on completely new hardware under a different operating system. Apple fans may especially appreciate the details.

We released a small update to “Take Control of macOS Media Apps”, made a bunch of progress on behind-the-scenes server work, and inched slightly ahead on the next edition of “Take Control of Your Online Privacy.”

We released a new book about iPhone photography this week, written by the estimable Jeff Carlson, as well as an update to Josh Centers’s book on iOS 17 and iPadOS 17. Also, temperatures are finally well above freezing!

The Take Control crew has been outlining, writing, editing, programming, and doing all sorts of other behind-the-scenes work. In the coming weeks we’ll have lots of good stuff to show you. In the meantime, have a nice holiday weekend.

We released three updated books this week, more are on their way soon, and Joe has been working hard on planning a bunch of new and updated titles that will appear later this year.

We celebrated Pi Day in the conventional way, and we made it through the Ides of March without any assassinations. Two or three updates will be ready for next week, with more new and revised books also in the channel.
